　　The table demonstrates average time spent on physical exercise by residents of two age groups in a city between 2009 and 2019. It is clear that time spent on sports by people aged 16-20 years old climbed rapidly from 3 hours to 8 hours. By contrast, those aged 30-40 years old spent 5 hours on physical exercise in 2009, while this figure dropped to 2.5 hours in 2019.

　　According to available information, there are two key factors contributing to these changes. Primarily, the government is taking various measures to encourage teenagers to take part in extracurricular exercise. For example, schools are required to set up a specific time for them to do exercise. Besides, young people between 30 and 40 years old tend to suffer enormous pressure from life. They need to bring up their kids and support their elderly parents. Consequently, taking sport activities seems to be an illusion for these hard-working youth.

　　In summary, I personally agree that the government is supposed to take further action to encourage citizens to do physical exercise. While work and study can be laborious, we must understand that having a robust body is the cornerstone of work and academic performance.

Firstly, it is universally acknowledged that college students will acquire knowledge and skills in all fields from extracurricular learning materials. These knowledge and skills not only help them pass exams, but become their competitive advantages when seeking employment in the future. Secondly, nowadays, college students are encouraged to read extensively during spare time, rather than immerse themselves in online games.
